Candelilla wax acts as a stabiliser and emulsifier. It is skin conditioning, easily absorbed, odourless, and rich in nutrients. It also provides a wonderful gloss and lubricity to lip balms.
Candelilla wax is derived from the leaves of the small candelilla shrub native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. It is 100% natural. It is from the plant Euphorbia antisyphilitica - a species of flowering plant in the family Euphorbiaceae. It is native to the southern states of the US.
